Bainbridge is a beautiful village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and surrounded by stunning countryside.  There are an abundance of beautiful walks and cycle routes within the area and there are also lots of picturesque villages and local attractions to explore, some are shown below:

Wensleydale Creamery - where they make the famous Wensleydale cheese, located in Hawes

Hardraw Force - located at Hardraw near Hawes, this is the longest single drop waterfall in England

Aysgarth Force - located in Aysgarth this consists of 3 sets of falls and is a popular tourist attraction

Ingleton Waterfall trail - a series of spectacular waterfalls located approx 35 minute drive away in Ingleton

Mill Gill - impressive waterfall within walking distance of the house (approx 2 miles)

Dales Countryside Museum - Hawes

Bolton Castle - Redmire

Middleham Castle - Middleham

The Forbidden Corner - a family attraction located in Middleham

Lake Semer Water - approx 2 miles away

Yorkshire 3 peaks - the 3 famous peaks in Yorkshire are a 30 minutes drive away, Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough

White Scar Cave - this is the longest show cave in Britain and is a 30 minute drive away near Ingleton

For a small village, Bainbridge is well catered for with a local pub, shop, butchers, tearoom & fine dining restaurant. The town of Hawes (5 miles) will be able to cater for most things. Further afield the towns of Leyburn and Richmond have a wider selection of shops.

Bus service - the Little White Bus runs a service from Bainbridge to Hawes or Leyburn called the Wensleydale Voyager (route and timetable online). There is a bus stop on the main road near the park or it also picks up/drops off at Sycamore Hall just up the hill.
